Quaint old areas and new conference suites. Not cheapest of venues but you are treated well and food was great. Good surroundings for a walk etc.
Stunning grounds in beautiful part of Cheshire, just outside Nantwich (about 2 miles)The health club and spa is quite fantastic. The gym is small and basic. There are 4 treadmills, 3 cycles and various weight machines. It can get quite crowded at times. They also host regular classes each week which again youll need to pre book as they fill up quickly. What the small gym lacks the pool and spa make up for! A quite Fantastic swimming pool, sauna and steam room with large water spa! Also plenty of beds to relax and read on. For a quite swim, avoid the school holidays as the pool soon gets packed with parents taking there kids.Nice coffee shop with nice lunch. We tried the mud skin spa treatment whichis quite fantastic and great fun! Highly recommended! The hotel is a beautiful old building. Ive not eaten at the hotel yet but heard mixed reviews. Plenty of car parking spread around the wonderful hotel grounds. Oh and I nearly forget to mention the BECKHAMS got engaged at this hotel! (so it must be quite good!)Overall, highly recommended!
Nice country retreat as part of the Julia Hand, Hand Picket Hotels. Lovely grounds and wonderful views from the main house, however can't help feeling the house was looking a little tired and need of a little TLC. Rooms were nice and spacious but not as plush as Fawsley Hall in Northampton part of the same group of country Spas. Easy access to Chester and Nantwich, but little else close by as to be expected from a county retreat. Evening dinner was pleasant and staff very friendly fixing the problems we had with out Room(s) quickly and efficiently. Nice touch for the maintenance man to leave a chocolate spanner after fixing the broken shower.
A really calm, relaxing spa day spent at Rookery as a wonderful birthday treat from my daughter. Clean and well-maintained, it provides all that you need for a peaceful day. Staff were pleasant and informative. The facial and back massage from Elle was amazing. Lunch was really tasty with the waitress being very friendly. Competitive rates too.
Wonderful stay overnight. Nice grounds and views. Lovely old building and a new wing. Spa and pool were just what we wanted and were very relaxing.Room was large with bath and a shower. Even had TV in bathroom. Bed was huge and comfortable but a little difficult to get best temperature for sleeping.Only down was we had asked for a late check out and a morning paper but neither had been passed on to morning staff. Every thing was sorted out with minimal fuss and no issues.Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Didn't use bar and restaurant but both looked wonderful.
