TERRIBLE - DO NOT USE THESE KENNELS. My dog suffered severe weight loss whilst in their care and came home with ribs and spine showing along with sore weeping eyes. The vet was in shock when I took him the next day and said he looked like hed been neglected for the 2 weeks he was there. They also over charged us from the original price quoted. They refuse to acknowledge my concerns and complaint and so I am forced to take further action against them. If you want peace of mind whilst you go away, I strongly recommend you choose somewhere else as these clearly have no concern about animal well being and are interested in your money only!
My aunt and uncle left their beloved pooch there 1 night but said never again.. After being told the dog would have a choice of foods they found the choice was wet or dry and they were so upset at discovering the dogs kennels were cold concrete floor in a small cell
Excellent kennels. We have 2 french mastiffs our girl is very wary of people and doesnt like men. We told the kennels this before booking her in and they were completely fine with it. We took her and she barked but had a wag too her tail after a few days she was best of friends with 1 member of staff. They never just pushed her aside because she is hard work they worked with her too get her out for walks and a run in the paddock. Shes come home a differenr dog and is so happy. My boy loves these kennels when we pulled up for his 2nd visit he new were he was and got all excited. They both come home happy and looking great!I would reccomend these kennels to anyone and everyone. Such an amazing team of staff and such an amazing job they do.Thankyou for everything! Will definitely be using these kennels all the time now! Do not hesitate in booking with summer hill pet spa and hotel you wont regret it and your dogs wont be better loved and looked after as they are here!Thanks guys!
Collected my dog and she was absolutely covered in urine and her hair was matted underneath. We had to drive home with the car windows open and shower her down immediately we got home. Urine was pouring off her. There was no mention by the staff of anything of concern when I collected her. They subsequently tried to blame my dog when I asked for an explanation. Will not use this kennels again.
Recently used these kennels for the first time. When we collected the dogs, the beds were filthy and smelled really awful. There were numerous dried-in stains and the under side of one of the beds was covered in mold. We were over-charged so had to return to the kennels for a refund. I mentioned the bedding and was told it is checked daily and washed if required. This was clearly not the case with our beds as the stains were dry when we collected the dogs prior to 9 am. I sent an email asking the staff to explain the state of the bedding prior to me providing a review. Again, they claimed the bedding was checked each day. Our dogs are fully house trained and have never urinated in the home. They are very clean and as a rule I wash their beds monthly, just for a freshen up. I have never known the beds to be stained or even to smell.Although the dogs themselves looked healthy but the state of the bedding would cause us not to return to Summer Hill.
